The streets of Winnipeg will be filled with prayer on Saturday, as part of a city-wide prayer drive that has been happening annually for 18 years.

The idea for the drive came out of a Why Encounter event in 1986, an evangelistic initiative that saw 1.3 million copies of Why Am I On This Earth? delivered door-to-door from Halifax to Vancouver Island. After the success of that event, its founder, Ann Wiens, prayed for a new project, and that’s when the idea for the prayer drive was born.

The Color recently brought a little Canada on tour with The Newsboys when the bands faced off in a friendly game of hockey.

A former first-round draft pick in the National Basketball Association has announced his retirement from the sport two years into his NBA career.

AJ Griffin posted a video to his YouTube channel explaining that he quit so he can follow Jesus full-time. 

In the seven-minute video, Griffin says, "I gave up basketball to follow Jesus. I know in a lot of people's eyes that seems like a loss."

Popular Christian duo, Caleb & John are celebrating after reaching a significant milestone in their career. 

On Sunday, the pair learned their single 'Somebody Like Me,' featuring CAIN, had reached the top spot of Mediabase Christian AC, Billboard Christian Airplay, and Billboard Christian AC charts.

"Our first #1 song." said Caleb & John. "Thank you to every person and station who has played our music and supported us."

A member of The Nelons has been inducted into the Southern Gospel Music Hall of Fame.

Kelly Nelon, who died in a tragic plane crash in June, was recognized a week ago at a ceremony in Tennessee.

Autumn Nelon Streetman, her daughter, and only surviving member of The Nelon's, accepted the award on behalf of her mother.

Best-selling and award-winning Christian author, podcaster and artist, Ruth Chou Simons is praising God as her son continues to heal following a serious mountain biking incident. 

One week ago, Simon's son, Judah was out on a trail with his brother Liam, when he was involved in a horrific crash. 

"He was flown off the trail directly to a hospital and then transferred to a trauma center," said Chou Simons in a post on Instagram. 

She said, at the time he had multiple fractured vertebrae, broken ribs, and internal bleeding, but he had feeling in his legs.

In the wake of Hurricane Helene's devastating impact, Christian aid organizations are stepping up to provide crucial relief to the affected communities across several states.

With over 115 fatalities reported and a wide path of destruction, the urgent need for support has never been greater.

A sold-out crowd gathered at the Met in downtown Winnipeg for another memorable Pro Sports and Faith Night, where professional athletes and their spouses shared how faith has shaped their lives.

The event was held in support of Lorne Korol, the chaplain for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, Jets, and Moose. Korol is a missionary with Athletes in Action, raising 100 per cent of his salary and expenses.

The evening featured three panels of athletes and spouses who opened up about their experiences with life, adversity, and faith.

Marika Siewert took home the Spiritual Artist of the Year award at the Western Canadian Music Awards during BreakOut West this past weekend in Saskatoon, Sask.

Following the win, Siewert shared her gratitude on Instagram: "Thank you BreakOut West for the recognition and to all the nominees in this category especially my partners in all the creative craziness these days 😂 @briandoerksen & @joyceoftheshiningrose who led the way for all of us ❤️.
