Growing up in Africa, David Opeyemi who now resides in Winnipeg was surrounded by music.
"After Christ saved my soul, I got interested in Christian music and that's where the journey began," David Opeyemi says.
While recording music was not the original plan, Opeyemi says, "In March 2018, our pastor encouraged me and he said he listened to one or two of the songs and he said that he thinks I should go and minister at this joint monthly worship program that we do."

Christian singer and songwriter Josh Wilson recently celebrated a special anniversary.
"I just passed seven years sober," said Josh in a post on Instagram last week. "I meant to post this earlier, but the day came and went so quickly without me even realizing it was my sober anniversary."
For years, Josh battled with an alcohol addiction, something he sings about in his latest album, Mental Help.

A 16-year-old skateboarder from Brazil recently got a bronze medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics and shared her Christian faith with the world afterward.
Rayssa Leal used her platform of competing on the world stage to share God's love with the world. After she placed third and won a bronze medal in the women's street skateboarding final on Sunday, she ASL to sign the Bible verse John 14:6. The verse says, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'"

On top of releasing a new single, Canadian Christian singer Elenee keeps busy as a restaurant owner, wife, and mother of two.
"In a world that is so consumer-driven, materialistic, and so far from the heart of God, which is abandoning everything and following Him, I just wanted to write a song that took that concept of leaving it all behind and going for Jesus," says Elenee. "It's also fun and sassy."

Steven Curtis Chapman is still in awe after being invited to become the next member of the Grand Ole Opry.
Chapman, who has 50 No.1 hits, made his Opry debut 42 years ago when he was just 19 years old. At that time, he was a performer at Opryland Theme Park singing the songs of Opry greats including George Jones, Ricky Skaggs and more.
Now the most-awarded artist in Christian music history, Chapman was surprised when Ricky Skaggs invited Chapman to become the newest member of the Grand Ole Opry following a performance Sunday night.

"It's so great to bring God into music and then share that with others," says Hamilton-based singer Gabriel Giammaria.
Some Christian bands that influenced Giammaria in his writing are CAIN, Anne Wilson, and Zach Williams. His first single is titled 'Give to You.'
"This song started from a personal prayer, asking God what His will is for my life. I'm sure many young people can relate with this, asking 'What is my purpose? What is God's plan for me?'"
Fundraiser set up to help Autumn Nelon after her family dies in tragic plane crash
A fundraiser has been set up to support Autumn Nelon Streetman after her mother, stepfather and sister died in a plane crash Friday afternoon.
The Nelon family was on their way to join the Gaither Homecoming Cruise to Alaska when the incident happened.
The crash also claimed the lives of Nathan Kistler, their assistant, Melodi Hodges, pilot, Larry Haynie and his wife, Melissa.
