Fred passed away peacefully in his home in his favourite chair.

He will be truly missed by his sister Cathie Hoekstra and husband Fokke, nephew Dustin Hoekstra and wife Leah, niece Katie Hoekstra and great nieces Brooklyn and Sadie and great nephew Brayden. His ever caring Kenora family Janice Higgins-Edwards (late husband Rick), Jennifer Schott and husband Doug and daughters Skye and Starr.

Fred grew up in Winnipeg and attended the University of Winnipeg graduating in “cards”.

Douglas Kenneth Scott

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Douglas Kenneth Scott on August 1, 2022 at the age of 70 years.  

Born and raised in Keewatin, ON, Doug, or ‘Scotty’, was a proud and devoted family man with a quiet sense of humour.  He was also a hard-working and well-respected expert journeyman with 4 different trades.  Never one to sit still, he continued to share his knowledge & expertise in his later years and until the time he left this life.

Linda Delorraine Mandamin

Linda Delorraine Mandamin, born May 27 1957 passed away at the age of 65 at the Lake of the Woods District Hospital in Kenora, Ontario on August 4, 2022 with family by her side. Naawiikamigok was of the Ashaga clan and was part of the Midewin Lodge. 

Linda rejoins her loved ones; her parents Arnold Mandamin and Margaret Blackhawk, her siblings Delores Mandamin, Esther Lewis, Colleen Mandamin and Albert Mandamin Sr., her son Norman Jr. her grandson Skyler Mandamin. 

Adriana Schulz

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the peaceful passing of Adriana Schulz on June 11, 2022, at Pinecrest Home for the Aged in Kenora Ontario, in her 75th year. Adriana was born on September 30th, 1947, in Woerden, Netherlands. 

She is survived by Gerald, her husband of 44 years, by her daughters Kristin (Alan Kilian) and Korin (Karl Dankl), by her grandchildren Brian, Brett, Emily, Kyra, Katie and Will, and by great-grandson Blake. She is also survived by sisters Bernica and Annika, and by nephews Christian and Patrick.

David Sinclair

David Sinclair, age 28, of Dryden, Ontario passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2022. David was born February 23, 1994. 

A visitation for David will be held Wednesday, July 27, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a wake service from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM.

Born May 11, 1934 in McNutt, Saskatchewan, into a large family of 11 siblings, and being farm raised, he learned and shared the meaning of unity, patience, courage, caring and hard work.

Edward (Ed) William Marshalok

In the early morning on July 28th, Edward (Ed) William Marshalok peacefully passed away at Pinecrest joining his beloved wife, Clara Marshalok.

Ed was born in Kenora on July 6th, 1938, to the proud parents of George and Katherine Marshalok.  He got to celebrate his 84th birthday with his daughter Heather Reid.
