Ogema Agricultural Society's 109th annual Summer Fair this Saturday
The Ogema Agricultural Society Summer Fair has been a staple for the community of Ogema for over a century. According to Ogema’s website, the agricultural society was formed in 1914 and four years later, the summer fair was born. Since then, there has only been one year that a summer fair or a sports day was not held.
Soups On support sells out the KPMG Taste of Summer Charity BBQ
This week’s recipient of the KPMG Taste of Summer Charity BBQ was Soups On, taking in donations of $2,519, which will go toward their summer family lunch program.
Norma Hildebrand, lunch program director with Soup's On, is thankful for the support.
“I'm honoured. I am excited. Thank you to everyone coming out and enjoying this beautiful day, but mostly for donating to Soup's. So that we, in turn, can help the kids out there.”

'Lifesaving': Golf Tournament shares hope of Christ
It was a beautiful and sunny day out at the Glendale Golf and Country club for the Adult and Teen Challenge Golf Tournament earlier this week.
The golf tournament was held on Tuesday, July 8, to raise money to support the work that Adult & Teen Challenge does to provide treatment and services for addiction and recovery.
"We are fundraising money because we are a non-profit organization; we rely on donations," said Josh, a student of the program from the Denare campus.
CMHA Weyburn continues 'Youth Inspiring Kindness' summer program
'Youth Inspiring Kindness': a free program for kids 10 to 13, begins next Wednesday at the CMHA Weyburn Branch
Youth Program Coordinator Heidi Vogel said while she has been running a variety of youth programs over the years, this one, in its second year, is specifically designed for summer.
The five sessions, running Wednesdays from 3:30 to 5 p.m., each have a fun activity designed to inspire acts of kindness.

Family Day Returns to Sukanen Ship Museum with $2 Admission
A busy season continues for the Sukanen Ship Pioneer Village and Museum.
Normally, admission to the exhibits is $10 for adults. But on July 20, that fee is lowered to just a toonie.
“Family Day is something we came up with a few years ago,” said Sukanen Ship spokesperson Evan Davis. “It makes it affordable to come and bring your family for a day and experience the museum and hopefully get you to come back.”
