They received a lunch from K-Motel as part of our ongoing thank you to local farms.
Successful Care Home Cruise for Soo Line Cruisers
The Soo Line Cruisers Car Club thanked the public in a social media post for making their first Care Home Cruise of the season a success on Sunday.
"We achieved a new club record with 50 cars this year," the post said. "We are also grateful for the support from the residents and staff at the care homes in Weyburn."
McDonalds is for the Grads!
As we close in on another graduating class, once again the team at McDonald's in Swift Current are stepping up to support them the best way they can!
Today from 5-7pm, you can head to McDonald's, either drive thru or dine in, and get yourself something tasty for supper, or dinner, or a snack, or whatever you may need, and 10% of all sales will go towards the graduating class in 2025!
Students from the SCCHS graduating class will be on hand tonight working, greeting folks and there to help make the experience a fun one!

May brought a steady stretch of gloomy, rainy weather, but that didn’t stop people across southeast Saskatchewan from sharing the sunshine their pets bring into their lives. From cuddles on stormy days to muddy-pawed adventures between showers, we had some wonderful entries this month — and yes, it was mostly dogs stealing the spotlight!

The crew at 104.5 More Country headed out to Bruce Farms to give them lunch from Baldwin BBQ.
The farm is located Southeast of Strathmore.
Jake Warrack is a farmer with Bruce Farms, and he explained what they seeded this year.
"We actually tried a couple of different things this year. We planted some Durham, which is new to us, and triticale, which is new to us, and then just our standard crops, we've grown lots of wheat, barley, and canola, and then we have a little bit of alfalfa in our rotation as well."
Pop culture fans flock to Morden for free weekend of gaming, collectibles, and cosplay
The Access Event Centre in Morden was buzzing this past weekend as fans of video games, vintage collectibles, Pokémon cards, comic books, cosplay, and more gathered for the latest edition of the Morden Pop Culture Expo. Organized by local enthusiast Trent Medynski, the two-day event offered free admission and something for everyone.
“We’ve got people coming in the door already. There was a line-up this morning,” said Medynski on Saturday. “Everybody’s ready to go. We’ve got the cotton candy ready. The icecycle treats are ready. The food trucks are ready. Let’s go!”
From books to banjos: Estevan Public Library unveils summer guide
The Estevan Public Library is rolling out a full slate of summer programming, including reading challenges for kids and teens, an author visit, a puzzle-building contest, and a new music lending initiative supported by a community grant.

Do you get "Sunday Syndrome" or "Sunday Blues"? Many suffer from anxiety and stress as the reality of getting back to work on Monday sets in.
Surveys and polls over the years have found we just don't like Mondays.
The average person moans and groans for over half-an-hour on Monday mornings compared to about 20 minutes on other days. One survey, years ago, found the majority of people don't even smile until after 11:00am on Mondays.
