At the 2025 Canada Summer Games in St. John’s, Newfoundland, Team Saskatchewan’s Men’s Baseball team wrapped up the round robin with a 2-0 loss to BC.
Team Saskatchewan was limited to a pair of hits in the game as Muenster’s Cade Britz was 0 for 2 at the plate.

BASEBALL
At the Canada Summer Games in Newfoundland, Team Saskatchewan dropped to 2-2 in baseball after yesterday's 10-2 loss to Ontario and today's 2-0 loss against British Columbia.
Shaunavon's Mason Fauser didn't play against Ontario after playing the first two games for Saskatchewan.
Former Swift Current resident Aiden Kilshaw was 1 for 4 with a run scored in a losing cause.
Fauser and Kilshaw were both held hitless against BC as their starter, Dylan Demeyer, threw a complete game two-hitter.

Broncos announce 2025 Fall Camp schedule
The Humboldt Broncos have released the schedule for their upcoming fall camp.
On Friday August 29, the roster will be split into squads with practice at 10:00 am & 11:30 am
That's followed by the Green and Gold game at 6:00 pm.
The next day, after a morning practice at 10, the Elgar Petersen Cup will be on the line featuring the top 40 players remaining.
Saskatoon Berries force deciding third game of WCBL East Final
The Saskatoon Berries were able to extend their season for at least more game, as they defeated the Regina Red Sox 8-4 on Monday night to even up the East Division Final at 1-1.
After the teams traded runs in the first inning, the Red Sox grabbed a 2-1 in the second.
Former Okotoks Dawg makes major league debut
Former outfielder for the Okotoks Dawgs, Tristan Peters, got the call he's been waiting for.
Peters played in his first major league game for the Tampa Bay Rays over the weekend.
He played in a game on Friday, August 8th, versus the Seattle Mariners, batting fifth in the lineup and playing centre field.
Family and friends made the trek from Winkler, Manitoba, to Seattle to watch his debut as he played in all three games in the weekend series.
The 25-year-old caught three fly balls and went 0-for-3 at bat.
Royals open SSBL Playoffs with 4-2 loss to Saskatoon Outlaws
The Marysburg Royals began the 2025 Saskatchewan Senior Baseball League (SSBL) Playoffs on the wrong side of the scoreboard with a 4-2 loss to the Saskatoon Outlaws on Monday night.
Thomas Lessmeister pitched a complete game for the Royals, tossing seven innings, allowing a pair of earned runs and eight hits while recording four strikeouts.
The Outlaws scored all of their runs in the first two innings.
Team Sask Men's Baseball splits second day at Canada Summer Games
It was an up and down day yesterday for Team Sask Men's Baseball at the Canada Summer Games in St. John's. The squad started their double day with a 10-6 victory over Quebec, followed up by a 10-2 loss to Ontario.
In the opening game, following a early run by Quebec, Saskatchewan took control with 8 runs in the bottom of the second to set the pace. Two of those run happened on a single error, and despite an effort by Quebec, there was no coming back.
