iBEAUTY boutique invites women to relax, find the perfect fashion or fragrance & enjoy life

Since launching iBEAUTY this past September, Tina has been helping Southeast Manitoba women find their inner royalty.

“In my heart, I think every woman deserves to be a queen or princess,” she says. “Life is for enjoying.”

Relatively new to Steinbach after moving to Canada from China, Tina is excited to spread the word about iBEAUTY, which has a storefront at 98 Brandt St. – near the corner with Reimer Ave W. Her shop carries items made in Canada and the United States, but most of its inventory comes from overseas.

Take 5 - City App Report an Issue

Rob: Hey, let's talk about the Report for Service app that we can get on our phones. I got the Millennials here at the radio station to help me set it up. I got it on my phone and frankly, it works pretty well. I can book swims at certain times and skip the lineups for people who are waiting to pay. I find that very convenient, and you know if you’re a member or if you bought a punch card, you can punch that in and you can just walk into the pool and skip the line-up and away you go, very convenient.

Portage Toyota & RV keeps tradition alive

Camping has changed a lot since 1973, when Portage Toyota and RV started out as Portage Leisure Centre. But some things – important things – have stayed the same, such as the family ownership and operation of the business and its commitment to providing a comfortable, accessible experience for customers.

“Over the years, trailers have become a home away from home,” reflects Adam Trudeau, General Manager at Portage Toyota & RV. “All the amenities are now with you while camping.”

Take 5 - Potholes

Rob: Let's talk about those potholes. There's winter, then there's pothole season, and then there's spring and we've got pothole season now. And from what I understand, the pothole people are out there with cold mix right now doing the best they can.

Maryse: Absolutely. We already started this week, so the crew that's also taking care of the catch basins and in the culverts, of course we saw on the weekend with the rapid meltdown some catch basin needed to be drain, so that was done, but now it's the same crew that’s doing the cold mix.

A small price to pay for peace of mind during spring melt

They say that in spring young folks ’minds turn to thoughts of love. Well, in Stan Hiebert’s world, homeowners ’minds turn to thoughts of sewer backup… and prevention.

Hiebert is General Manager at Titanium Mechanical, a Steinbach-based company that installs, maintains, and repairs HVAC systems and provides plumbing solutions for residential and commercial buildings across the Southeast.

“Everybody can have issues with their sump pump in spring,” shares Hiebert. “So a plumbing inspection is a very good idea.”

SPONSORED: Anchor of Hope – Famous Last Words

As a person comes to the end of their life their last words, often directed to the people who are closest to them hold a lot of weight. They are memorable and poignant. As we approach this Easter season I wanted to take a couple minutes to look at the last 7 statements of Jesus on the cross. While going through a greater agony than you or I could ever imagine Jesus utters 7 things that show us who Jesus really is and what he’s all about.
