OSY Rentals Ball Report: Oldtimers Baseball Championship back in Kindersley this weekend
For the 38th annual year, the Western Canadian Oldtimer Baseball Championship is set to fire up in Kindersley.
The tournament only has four teams in play this year, the Kindersley Klippers, Medicine Hat Jays, Provost Buds, and Regina Drifters.
The teams will play round robin games Friday and Saturday, and then on Sunday the third and fourth finishers will play in the morning before the championship final at 2:00 PM.
Shoot to Inspire brings Seabears front office to inspire young women
Summer brings a lot more than fairs and festivals; it also brings camps and new experiences.
President and founder of Shoot to Inspire, Peyton Kehler, says that this local basketball camp is designed to bring together the women of our community.
The camp started as a passion project for Kehler and has continued to grow.

'To bring hope': Summer camp serves in west-Winnipeg
Over 20 campers attended Kids Kamp on Wednesday at the Salvation Army's Heritage Temple Park.
Kids Kamp is a summer camp run by the Salvation Army and will be held for six weeks this year. With this being the first week, campers and staff are excited for the beginning of the summer.
" We are so excited, we are so happy that we've welcomed many people from our community at our Animal Planet-themed week at Kids Kamp," shared Debbie Neufeld, the Children and Youth Ministries Coordinator.
Local library to host musical children's show
A beloved kids entertainer is set to stop at a southwest library this weekend for an interactive children's show featuring summer themes.
The free-to-attend event is set to take place on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at the Swift Current Branch Library.

It's Throwback Thursday - just a minute to remember the good old days.
Remember when we all had maps in our cars? We'd keep them in the glove box and, from time to time, we'd pull over and have a look when we needed them.
Times have changed. Now we have cel phones with services like Siri, Alexa, Google Assistant and Google Maps.
I put two of those into action last week when I was visiting friends in Calgary. Siri got me to my first destination with no problems. She was perfect.

So, yesterday was Fashion Day. A day to apparently celebrate fashion and all it's iterations. Well, I tried to do that, wearing my socks and sandals which I frequently do. Well good golly Miss Molly, it was as if I picked up Calvin Klein and dropped him off a bridge I offended so many people by my fashion choice!
Fashion is subjective. Just the same as art. What I think is art, others may not, and vice versa. But with fashion, it seems that 'subjective' part only applies when it doesn't hurt someone's retinas.
